Description: Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themselves with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack.
Background Info.
History: Rai had an average childhood besides the fact his father died when he was young and he got a step-father in replace of him. The only other thing that also wasn't normal was his real mother that attempted to persuade Rai to hate Killer Bee and Yugito for some reason he didn't know and his step-father that taught him the opposite. His mother always said "That man and woman are pure evil, both are to blame for your real father's death", but his step father just said it's just because "Some scars never heal". Rai normally listened to his dad about advice, however with the information that they killed his real father created a real hatred for the two older ninjas. This perplexed Rai as he still had no clue on Why they did it, but he believed his mother when she said they did do it. The fact he hated the two pleased his mother, but displeased his father. Now his mother would always praise him about it yet his father guilt tripped him every time about "Why he hated the two", but Rai could never give an answer besides they killed his father without any proof. More years passed until the day Rai entered the ninja academy to follow in his real Father's footsteps. This too led to another disagreement between his parents. His dad now actually supported him, however his mom was extremely displeased with it. His mom worried greatly that he would end up like his real father and pass away on duty. Although she ultimately lost this battle she still continued to praise him in the fact he still hated the two ninjas. At the academy, Rai was a quiet, shy boy that got bullied a lot because he wasn't that good of a ninja, but only about average. Like many other bullying cases, Rai never told his parents about the bullying. He constantly got bullied even physically after school was over until it reached a point in which he couldn't take it anymore and decided to do something about. One day Rai told his parents that he was going to out to practice Kunai throwing in the training grounds. This was a lie that Rai made as he instead carried his pack of Kunai to the isolated training grounds that no one ever went to for some reason he didn't know. At that destination, he put a kunai to his heart then attempted after hours of sweating against doing or not doing it. He decided to go through with it, however he didn't anticipate someone to stop it. The person that stopped Rai from killing himself was the man he promised himself to hate. The fact that the man that killed his father wouldn't let his son die angered him. Rai loudly yelled at Killer Bee “Why won't you let me die, I WANT TO DIE”, that only was received with a blank stare. Rai dropped to his knees as his tears poured down his cheeks. He screamed as he again yelled “Why won't you let me join my dad?”, this was answered with “Yo Yo just Close ya eyes”. Confused the young academy student closed his eyes. (Listen to my theme to get the next part leading to this) After this event Rai became friends with Killer Bee and even started to call him master even though Bee never trained him, but gave him some advice. (Killer Bee and Raiden have sort of a love-hate relationship that is now just joking about Bee's raps, etc.)
