You yourself stated straight up taijustu

Hidan didn't train nearly as intense as guy and isn't nearly as fast as guy.
In a taijustu match hidan would get wrecked.

As stated before based on feats Hidan's fighting style is very agile and quick.

Show me feats of guy's speed WITHOUT gates. From what ive seen hidan and Gai are possibly > than Gai when it comes to weapons

30% Kisame wrecked Gai without gates and was able to keep up with him and his nun chuka to me this shows that Gai's much weaker with nunchucks are far more superior with hand to hand

In hand to hand combat i believe Gai is the superior fighter but when it comes to weapons Hidan has the distance and agility to his advantage.

I don't know what anime/manga you read, but Kakashi was 2vs1 (Shikamaru was helping, but most of the time he wasn't) and running circles aroudn Hidan most of the time.

Ino did less than nothing, Choji got one shot, and Shikamaru helped for a min. Otherwise, it was 2 vs 1.

Gai would dominate him in a Taijutsu fight, but since he can't seriously injure or put him down eventually Hidan ends up killing him.
