Kakashi was the strongest jounin in Konoha in part 1 no?
Kakashi was the strongest jounin in Konoha in part 1 no?
who said that?
Realistically, it was Gai. Only Gai was pretty much irrelevant back then.
I'm asking. Plus, Hiashi never got mentioned in who is next to protect Konoha by Jiraiya or Tsuna.
Kakashi also was the most famous jounin of konoha.
From the looks of it.. and the DB stats, Kakashi was always superior to Hiashi.
No not really. Gai needed 8th gate to surpass Kakashi (atleast what Kishimoto put in the manga)

Only when he was attempting to show off in front of the kids.Actually guy considered himself stronger than kakashi in part 1.
i doubt they would put clan heads in charge since they are clan heads, and besides. kakashi was only considered for the part in part 2.
hmmm, sure. Issue is we don't know if Gai had the ability to go 7th gate at that point or no.I disagree, but war arc Kakashi and Gai is irrelevant to the discussion. I believe MS Kakashi =7G Gai.
You're talking about end of story Kakashi and Gai. You know, Kakashi with Kamui? One of the most haxxed jutsu out there? Part I Kakashi with 3T and stamina problems would get mauled by 7G Gai.
Only when he was attempting to show off in front of the kids.
All of them are part of some clan, even the "Hatake". He was only considered for the part in part 2, due to Jiraiya being alive in part 1.

The way they recieved their "power ups" Kakashi is always put above.
- Gai went 8th gate for couple of moments became stronger than Kakashi
- Kakashi got that Rikudou MS buff, became stronger than 8th gate Gai
- at the end of the manga, Gai is a cripple, while Kakashi is the Hokage. Especially when the entire focus of the flashbacks during the 8th gate opening from Kakashi, were put into him acknowledging Gai had become stronger than him.
Not when you still haven't countered the "Gai needed 8th gate to surpass Kakashi"... Before that he was never acknowledged as Kakashi's superior to portrayed as Kakashi's superior.Bold is irrelevant. Telling me who surpassed who by the end of the manga is irrelevant when discussing part 1 Kakashi, so we cannot really use part 2 portrayals when discussing this due to Gai being pretty much irrelevant for the entire part I, and not having a single fight save for blitzing one sound fodder. As for Gai not being able to go 7G, that's ridiculous. His 14 year old student was able to go 5, and Gai taught him everything he knows. You really think an adult, grown ass Gai wasn't able to open all 8? By this point Gai is already an established Taijutsu veteran.
