- Increase your fluid intake as tolerated
Take more:
- Vitamin C (citrus fruits, red/orange peppers, dark, leafy greens etc.)
- Vitamin D (dairy products; some orange juices are fortified with vitamin D)
- Inulin (bananas, garlic, leek etc.)
- Zinc (dairy products, meats, nuts, legumes etc.)
- Get adequate amounts of rest
- Exercise as tolerated
- Wash your hands and cover your mouth when you sneeze/cough
- Take cold medication as needed.
- See your healthcare provider if your symptoms worsen or if you have a fever that does not go away.
