This shadow substitution only works if Madara has his shadow inside his body so it has its drawbacks since one can't use Limbo Hengoku if they want to use shadow substitution.

Is substitution really finding a log and switching with it? Wouldn't that mean that character is super fast to:
1: Find a log
2: Switch places before Kunai or shuriken hit log.

They could theoretically also use a kuni as a log replacement one would think.

I thought that at higher levels substitution was ineffective since you have to move faster and everyone has sharingan or something.
