The reason why the Anime it's slower than an average Tuesday, because of the pacing.

The Manga is still in Dressrosa
The Anime is in Dressrosa

A Manga & Anime arcs should be different
the Manga should be a arc ahead of the Anime

Another reason is Oda's hiatuses, now don't get me wrong Oda deserves a break for the great work. But the Anime should take breaks too. So the Manga can get further ahead.

Right now
Anime: Luffy is heading towards Doflamingo

Manga: Birdcage/ fights/ Luffy & Law vs Doflamingo

What Toei should do is take a break until Spring 2015. So the Manga should be on it's conclusion in Dressrosa.

The anime is 1 episode = 1 chapter. I agree the anime should be on break, but toei needs to milk in money. OP is high demand anime so putting out eps is necessary.

That's why I wouldn't mind seeing OP's popularity in Japan drop so Toei would at least put some effort but that doesn't seem like it's going to happen. MAYBE if AOT reaches the #1 spot but I doubt it. If they're scared about fillers not attracting in a lot of viewers, they should consider doing a cover story arc for the anime only viewers. Toei will NEVER put the OP anime on hold/hiatus.

And because of its demand and toei wanting/needing cash the animation is inconsistent. Good one week bad the next.
An arc like for example hand island, I liked that special.

The problem with the anime is: it's awful.

Bad pacing, shoddy animation in comparison to others, inconsistency wherever you look, heck even the art looks different week in and week out!

It's a pathetic anime. It really pales in comparison to the Manga and fails to do it any justice

I think it's way too long and they are going on random adventures. Also, too many freaking characters. Plus, it started to get more fanservice...I wouldn't expect Nami of all people becoming a fanservice character(despite her being decent).

Ok, you didn't feel it but I did okay? I just wish they would get there already, that's my biggest impatience with OP.
Get where? xD Maybe you didn't understand the point of the arc & it's significance to the overall plot. Do you mind telling me what arcs felt random to you?

Was gonna say the exact same thing

Everything in One Piece (Manga) is relevant. The only irrelevant features of the anime is filler content, of which most is just little inserts into canon episodes to decrease the rate of chapters per episode to give the manga more leeway ahead of the anime

Well, I think that its drags on for a long time. It feels like its taking forever to get anywhere. Took forever for luffy to finally get to marine ford and to the new world. Now its been how long and we dont even know anything about the powers of the yonko, keeping in mind that its been a while since he actually entered the new world. He is just going to piss off one of them, its going to take a year for him to fight that one, then it will take another year to piss off the next one, and another year to fight it, then another 2 tears before he fights the 3rd yonko, then the marines are going to take shanks hostage or try and behead him or something like that and its going to take 3 years for that to end, then he is going to have to fight the heads of the world government, i swear it feels like its going to take another decade before this manga is over. ill be in my 30's...

The anime has always been draggy and people have always complained about it. The thing is FI and PH weren't the best of arcs and the anime just made them worse. Dressrosa is great, but it's the longest arc to date so obviously the anime isn't helping that.

Well the story isn't just about Luffy and his dream, you have to factor in the SH's dreams as well. It won't be that quick for Luffy to fight a yonko either since he's already struggling with Doflamingo, who's the same person who sh*ts his pants when he hears about Kaido (the current yonko, the SH's & Law are targeting atm). I love the series length tbh & it will take another decade to end the series. Oda confirmed it a few months ago. Not be rude or anything but I don't really understand why people complain about the series length/pacing, like what were you expecting getting into the series?

I understand that some people like it but, the problem is that sometimes people just dont have an attention span that lasts for 25-30 years...

Hahaha yeah,
but ya see, that's the problem. How far have you been reading the chapter / watching the episode? If you have reached to Dressrosa from the beginning, then you should be aware early on that the series is going to be longer, like another worth of decade to have it finished by then. Just imagine that with how things turn out currently, with a lot of theories and unanswered questions piled up, for suddenly Oda decide to end it next year or next three years. Think it's relevant to do so? I'd rather much wait for it regardless the time period. Another 10 years means i'm gonna be around thirties too, yet it won't stop me from keep on doing my personal hobby/interest, like how adults still watch cartoons nowadays.
