Help: Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro wifi problem

I have a NEWLY bought xperia mini pro android version 2.3.3.few weeks old.but it seems to have a problem with connecting wifi.It keeps on scanning even after successfully connected..anyone have solution?I heard the problem is the gingerbread..
