O.k., Whenever I am in the middle of a PS project, like coloring Manga, it suddenly turns off my whole computer... I don't know why, and it's annoying. >.<

Like, I'll have only the program PS running, and then in the middl of me coloring it, the computer will shut off...

and now, i just tried opening a file to start on, and it says: Could not complete your request because the scrath disks are full.

I have no idea what that means..

"You could have your page file and scratch disk on a partition without enough room to expand or have the maximum set too low for the page file. It seems it still shouldn’t shut down your computer, but you might check your scratch disk and page file settings. Photoshop seems to use both scratch disk and page file space.

Evidently they moved the page file settings in Photoshop. I’m still using CS and it is under Edit > Preferences > Plug-ins and Scratch Disk. It will expand to take the entire space on the partition it is assigned to, but you have to make sure it is on a partition with enough space. If you have multiple partitions it is a good idea to assign space to them all, with the partition with the most space primary. And if you have a second hard drive the primary scratch disk should be on that if there is space.

This is a good read on the page file: Mine has expanded to about 2 Gigs and I have confirmed in Task Manager that Photoshop does use it along with the scratch disk."

This looks like it could help you considering what you said.

well, if your photoshop is

a

Personal
Ivory
Ridiculous
Artificial
Tremendous
Effortless

copy, and your internet is turned on, it might make you some issues,
but nothing more than simply refusing to save your work, or crashing!, etc.
but idk about turning off your whole computer...
Depends on the computer you're using, the common problems
are the
power source, the memory, overheating of the graph card?/not working fan,
etc.?

Questions:
How old is your computer?, How old is your hard disc, how much free space is there? How much is your RAM? Have you reinstalled windows recently?

I had the same problem, but right before the shutdown, I saw flash
of blue screen under the system's bios, it turned out that my motherboard was incompatible with my gfx card, and the second time that my old hard
disk, on which my system was was damaged, I lost all my files in a few weeks and had to buy a new one to fix it... :)

Now I have no problems, because my PC has Windows xp for the programs (with no internet!) , and Linux for the internet. But you have always to restart when you want to switch functions, but otherwise I had no problems since then...! :)
(And normally if you reinstall windows with your Hard disc completely formatted (you have to back-up all your important files!), everything is fixed.)

:) Hope that helps you!
