Yes, the thing is that catching up with...what? 531 episodes to see? 531x20 minutes = 10620 minutes

Which makes what? 177 hours...

Thats why i was hoping to try and catch up in the manga while getting through the most epic parts of the anime

It is a matter of one - one and a half month to watch all the episodes. You will have time eventually. It is really worth it dude, don't forget that.
