And actually by all technicalities Itachi beat Sasuke.

by all known abilities, sasuke is superior, even without his EMS. he had more stamina, better amaterasu, better summons, as good susano, as good intelligence, immunity to itachis genjutsus, more ranged attacks like chidori spear etc.

Then proceeded to fight off Orochimaru's most powerful jutsu

so he fought off edo shodai and nidaime?

Sasuke's Susano'o is definitely inferior to Itachi's. Yata Mirror and Totsuka sword vs Susano'o arrow, you tell me who wins

sasuke doesnt need to penetrate it. in a contest of susano vs susano, stamina wins. totsuka cant penetrate sasuke's version and he can afford to be defensive. itachi cannot

Itachi probably would have made a great Kage

when hes not killing people like he always does and withholding vital intel.
