Hawk: Its importance to Sasuke, and his destiny in the Naruto series.

From the beginning of the Naruto series, we see Sasuke being associate with a Hawk. Manga chapter 1!!!

Even Madara hints at the destiny of Sasuke. Either to remain as a Snake, or to become a Hawk.

Religious usages varry in the type of Bird (Phoenix, Hawk, Eagle) ... but they all have similar meanings:

1. Judaism (Hawk/Phoenix): This is the only creature that does NOT accompany Adam to Earth once he was banned from the garden of Eden. It is seen as a connection between both worlds. Immortality.

2. Christianity (Eagle): It is shown when describing a person reaching the divine. "Being on Eagles wings." Rising from the dead. ect.

3. Hinduism (Hawk/Eagle): The god Soma is depicted as a Bird. the god Soma evolved into a lunar deity. Full moon is the time to collect and press the divine drink. The moon is also the cup from which the gods drink Soma, and so Soma became again identified with the moon god Chandra. The drink is said to be hallucinigenic.

I think that Soma has multiple meanings that apply to Sasuke. The mood god... ie Tsukuyomi (incarnation of the moon). The techinque associate with this god's name is that of a genjutsu... similar to the Soma hallucigenic drink. Immortality is associated with the Sharringan, and can be connected to the symbolism of a Hawk as well.

4. The Tibetan Mandala: Show the idea of becoming enlightened, or reaching a immortality of sortsm as this symbol... Look familiar?

5. Chineese mythology (Phoenix): This bird is the opposite to the Dragon (the emporer). IE Ying vs Yang.

Think of Sasuke as being the Phoenix, and Pein as being the Emporer (dragon)

Pein's eyes are 3 circles one on top of eachother, not overlapping... and Sasuke's EMS is 3 circles overlapping eachother. Is this not a Ying vs Yang imagery?

We have all been saying that Sasuke is important to Madara, because Madara has goals other than those of Pein. THIS is PROOF of why this theory is possible.

In summary. Pein calls himself a god, and believe himself to have godly powers. Sasuke has the ability to control the means by which Pein (the emporer) will try and control the world...IE the tailed beasts. I think that all of this symbolism of the EMS and Sasuke being a hawk points to his future as being the sole person to be able to control the beasts, and disrupt the plans of Pein.

The whole point was to show multiple cultures use of the symbol of a Hawk... not just the narrow mindset of a theology nonrelated to Japan... ie hinduism...

I know, but the reason why it's important to Sasuke is more related to the Asian cultures.

Anything with wings has been important in all religions. Thus monoteistic ones have angels.

and goes back to focus on Sasuke's "speciality". again.

Trust me, Sasuke is very very very weak.

1. Can't come close to killing the 8-Tails. WHen the Akatsuki were going after the tailed beasts only in Pairs. Sasuke had 4 people, they barely escaped, and they didn't capture him.

2. Itachi couldn't kill Madara, he wasn't strong enough. Nor kill Pein. If Itachi was such a friend to the village, and had that much knowledge of the Akatsuki, why not kill its leaders? Its because he was weak.

3. Itachi removed Orochimaru from Sasuke, a huge source of strength. Even with MS, how can Sasuke defeat Pein or Madara, when Itachi couldn't even afford to try!

4. People insist Itachi gave a part of himself to Naruto, even though I think thats false. But if that is true... even another reason as to why Sasuke is weaker that Itachi... and basically everyone else. Including Naruto.

5. All Sasuke can do is talk to the 9Tails... joke... Naruto doesn't use the 9 Tails so it doesn't even matter.

6. The only role left for Sasuke... is to be Konoha's last resort to preventing the 9tails from overpowering Naruto.

But instead connecting Eagle or Hawk to Chandra i.e. God Soma... U should have connected it Lord Vishnu...Who uses Eagle/Hawk(Garuda) as Carrier.......So dat would hav make more sense and logical in Naruto's context!!!!!!!!
