While I understand the necessity of having sticky threads to maintain the overall clarity of the forums, I've noticed in the last while that a lot of threads that are perceived to be negative get clumped together regardless of what the actual content of the thread is.
I've seen some threads that complain about stickies in general. I don't want to do that.
But when there are dozens and dozens of threads bunched together on the simple basis of being critical, for example, how does it make sense to have them all together?

The latest one at labels everything in it as 'i am done too with naruto'

This is WILDLY misleading. Very few of the threads therein were even remotely saying that. What was a common thread was the criticisms...
These criticisms range from very specific aspects of the story development, character identity, action, motives, to Kishi himself and the manga generally, as it exists as a single, unified story, to how its weekly release effects its audience etc etc

To clump these together is unfair and reduces the discussion that surrounds them to nothing but a mess.

I hope that people on this site can see this and give their feedback. If there is support for a more refined method of clearing the forum space of repeat posts I'd really hope the moderators would consider changing their methods.

Everything said here is with the greatest respect and appreciation of what the moderators do to keep the base ticking.

Thanks

I'm not trying to cause trouble here. But c'mon, people must have noticed that there are a lot of these Sticky Threads that sometimes contain a lot of varying ideas and points of view. The problem is no one can trawl through the entire thread to find a few points that might be relevant to a specific argument.

I know you're an intelligent person, Negative Knight, and you're dedicated to making the base as inclusive and wide ranging as possible.
All I'm suggesting is for people to consider an alternative method that might be less harmful to threads that raise legitimate concerns. Right now it feels like a lot are getting relegated or buried where no one can see them or join in the discussion

Problem is an awful lot of person here seems to think that they are too good to post in aonther person's thread and their post is so extraordinary that it must deserve a separate thread even though they are saying the same thing as 100 other people even if some of us chose different words.

It has been clearly stated various times that duplication of same topic is to be avoided. And every week a sticky is posted for discussion on the latest chapter.

Just last week there were threads being posted so fast that some of them were pushed to second page without even a sigle reply within seconds. People keep making threads for every little thing and most threads receive 4-5 reply and then someone makes a new one to add one more thing and to reply a post made in a previous thread.

Your thread was " wasn't this chapter supposed to be a landmark" along side with another "dear kishi" and few others. It was neither original nor had anything which couldn't be addressed in some other active threads already posted. Exactly who said this chapter was supposed to be landmark?- that was just assumption of some fans.

There were too many threads posted about chapter 600 and your post could go to either of them, but you made one more. Basically it should have be deleted altogether and you should have been infracted /warned for duplication.

Didn't you just discuss this issue with me via a PM and were told to ask mods about your thread directly and if it was merged accidently you can post it again after asking them and all the other steps you should take in such a case instead of making a thread about it and you made two?

Nice going. I am not going to waste my time on you next time so if you have any other querry please contact another mod, in future.

BTW it was not a sticky thread. No thread was merged to a sticky thread. It was merged into another normal thread. Please learn the difference between the two.

Firstly, why is it a problem that I've posted a thread in the questions section? I am not trying to argue. All I want is for ordinary members to be able to weigh in on the topic.

Secondly, I'm not trying to vindicate my post per se. And I'll admit that there were other threads that had similar sentiments. But this particular sticky, i am done too with naruto, does not reflect what mine or others have said or rather were trying to say. I apologise if it was posted in the wrong section. I had posted in the general 600 discussion, but was interested to see if others had similar thoughts regarding the chapter's status (a legitimate idea, no need to condemn us for thinking such a way) so made a small thread.
Also, when I searched it nothing came up that resembled the question completely

The only thing I've been trying to say or ask is whether there might be a more content sensitive way of deciding what gets put into the sticky threads.
I PMd Rei like you suggested (the first thread was just a test to see how it would be dealt with, also. sorry about that) and asked her to have a look at this thread.
I don't want to only deal in private messages since, contrary to what you might think, I'm not doing this for the benefit of my small, boring little thread. I feel this is a legitimate issue for the entire narutobase community.

Now I don't think I've been anything but courteous and respectful to the moerators regarding this topic, but I feel like I'm being attacked for bringing up something pointless.
I'm not criticising you, I'm just enquiring as to some possible alternatives that might benefit the base.

Again, thanks for any feedback and all the work you do

You posted same thread in Naruto discussion and had a discussion over it with me via PM. I reply both and then you make another thread yet again and tell me the first thread was a "test " to see how it was dealt with.

I know you are not "cricitcising" "me'. I'm not the one to make rules and policies of the site either. I am just telling you that do not waste my time again.

Sorry if I've wasted your time; the threads were made so that I could see what ordinary members had to say. Not much attention is given to these Question/Suggestions though.
Even though it might have been done as a test, the question still remains and frankly I wasn't impressed with the answer I got.
This particular one was made because the first one was closed immediately which prevented anyone but moderators from using it. I appreciate your time in trying to answer my queries.
