that was plot how hashi basically beat madara, it made madara go ahead and act his plan out..that is plot, not hashi being stronger because logic tells us all that hashirama isnt stronger than hashirama+ems madara+rinnegan

having control over hashirama with the black rods doesnt mean he would be stronger or weaker, even nagato impaled kakashi with a black rod and there was no controlling of kakashi, or jiriya when it happened to him before his death...the black rods disrupt chakra of shinobi it has never controlled a shinobi but it has controlled bijuu and hashirama is not a bijuu...and if hashi were stronger why did madara say finally i can fight now...as if edo tensei was holding him back

Madara stabbed Hashi because he was strong enough to do that. This is Madara not trying to fight. Madara > Hashi.

He's still a beast to be able to resist control. Makes sense since he was able to resist Oro's control under Edo, which is supposed to be nearly absolute. He could probably resist all sorts of genjutsu too.
