It says hermit law on one of the pages in manga stream at the top right, so I do believe it was some form of SM..

It clearly says "Senpou" here on mangapanda too

So many people jumping to conclusions and saying it's Sage Mode. That's hilarious.

It didn't mention a single thing about sage mode. It wasn't referenced or mentioned as a caption. Sage Modes have always been related to animals or something similar in the manga. So it's conjectured that the Sage Mode has to be related to an animal. Kishi has not given us information to believe otherwise.

Not every jutsu or technique is passed around like a baton in the storyline. Just because it looks similar to Sage Mode doesn't mean it is Sage Mode.

Before thousand of hands, he says Senpou Mokuton:flaw:...Go read manga more carefully before insulting others

I challenge the notion that it was a true "sage mode."

We've seen funky translation issues in the past with these sorts of things. What I blatantly saw was Hashirama taking on a mark referencing the third eye and summoning a budhist reference.

I'm dubious that it's a "sage mode."

I wouldn't be surprised if it is - but it appears, to me, to be something to do with a relationship to Sage of Six Paths - like all the other references to Shinto, Budhism, etc.

*********** also says it is sage mode. So it is not a translation thing.

Sage Mode is translated into "Senjutsu." <-----Take the tsu off the end and you have "Senju."

I guess Hashirama really does have a Mokuton Sage Mode.

Forgive me if I'm not at all swayed.

If it is a sage mode - it is considerably different from any others we've seen before.

I would argue it has a greater similarity to Tsunade's Yin Seal Release in appearance and, possibly, function.
