LOL I'm about to eat meat as well. Hamburgers. I'm not a vegetarian at all and never will be. I was just saying for a character who is supposed to be looked at as a benevolent person, Hashirama wasn't completely good.

The reason he did what he did was because of madara using the ninetails as a weapon. the solution was to seal them inside yourself as the sage did the juubi. he sealed kurama in his own wife who if u recall treated kurama rather well. I cant speak for him but im sure his intention was for them to be treated as bee treats hachibi but he cant control other shinobi as we see wit tobirama. i think he had the right idea akatsuki aka madara fd it all up tho.

The guy started the tradition of sealing giant monsters into mentally unstable children, making them living weapons. Not to mention a lot of people seem to be able take on said monsters one-on-one, essentially making the whole process worthless.

Kuruma was controlled by Madara's sharingan so it was obvious it must have been considered a serious threat and lack of knowledge might have made it worse

that's because the tailed beast were not intelligent creatures but masses of chakra. They attained intelligence after being sealed inside their jinchuuriki. So trying to befriend a giant creature who can destroy mountains is kinda hard, especially during war.

It's not as if Madara treated them any better. Let's be honest, the beasts themselves are not the most personable...and if you could control them without having to befriend them like Naruto managed to do, wouldn't you rather do that? I wouldn't really call his a personality flaw either...
