Hashirama's fault that all of this happened?

i fail to see where hashirama is to blame in this. he created peace between the two strongest clans, and many other clans besides, brought true peace to the shinobi world, and saved the village. he just takes full responsibilty on himself like naruto. it's a mark of someone who puts others before him.

and itachi and hashirama are not the same. while both had the village at heart, hashirama tried to pull madara towards the light whereas itachi is culpable for creating darkness in sasuke. tobi and oro may have pushed him over the edge true, but itachi sowed the seeds of darkness inside sasuke when he was seven and then later, to make him strong and redeem the village by killing him. he subjected him to the curse of hatred purposefully. and in doing so, while he rid konoha of the uchiha he set the stage for the next madara.

if Hashi had killed Madara at the battle between the two clans the events that are going on now wouldn't have happened.. Like for example Obito being manipulated into being evil which in turn there wouldn't be a 9 tails attack on the leaf.. The 4th Hokage would be alive and Kushina would be too. There most likely wouldn't be a Uchiha Massacre as they wouldn't be suspected of causing the 9 tails attack.. things would've been so better.

He even said his actions eventually led to the darkness Itachi had to shoulder.

If you had 4 brothers who died before you when you failed to protect them would you not feel the same? That's why Hashi should've taken him out since he was vengeful and destructive... that way the events leading up till now wouldn't have happened.
