this has been wondering in my mind for some time people seem to be reluctent that current madara(edo) is weaker then hashi well let me offer some reasons why hashi is the only 1 that can stop madara
firstly i believe even when they fought the first time (hashi vs madara) madara had alot more chakra then hashi reasons for this sasunoo alone consumes alot of chakra ems or ms effects r the same so what i believe is that even now madara has unlimited chakra only hashi can stop him coz of hashi's wide array of jutsus think about it wood element is taking ur chakra and turning it into life force and hashi was a senju meaning he had alot of life force plus sealing jutsus dont require to much chakra as well as having a scroll with summons of weapons not forgeting that he could heal himself meaning his chakra control was insane he could a jutsu without over using chakra so my point is hashi had alot more jutsus then madara and they didnt require alot of chakra and they where effective
secondly to prove this i'ma use the 4th hokage as an example he didnt have alot of jutsus but the 1's he had made him a very dangerous opponent to face his ftg alone was feared let alone his rasengan he didnt seem like he had alot of chakra either but his intelligence and techs made up for his weaknesses
and coming to madara his the kind of person from what we've seen prefers brute force over intellegence meaning even if he was a genius he relied on techs that wasted chakra he seems more like sasuke they rather kill quick then have a genjutsu fight or test u out
which leads me to believe that hashi defeated madara coz of ideal techs rather then chakra level
