He broke out of Edo Tensei without forming any seals, just like that, on a whim. He wasn't even trying. Even Madara had to form seals. Hashi just did a little bit of flexing of his mental/physical powers, and bam! he's free. Like Superman breaking out of handcuffs.
Now Edo Tensei's control is so strong, that Kabuto stated the only genjutsu that can break it is Koto, the most powerful one. Even Minato couldn't budge, an he's almost a god at this point.
If Hashi can break out of Edo so easily, then he should be able to break out of tech's with lesser control. This could mean that virtually all genjutsu and most likely even Tsukuyomi would not work against him.
Edo Tensei and Genjutsu both control, but the former is direct and the latter is indirect.
Edo Tensei should have much better control then most Genjutsu since the user brings them back to their specifications. Kinda like rebuilding a computer. You have much better control over a computer you rebuilt then a computer you are trying to hack from afar. That is because of direct access. Edo Tensei is the direct access and Genjutsu is the hack from afar.
Hashi broke out of the stronger one, the direct access, Edo Tensei. Surely he could break out of the weaker one, the hack from afar, Genjutsu.
Very good on the most part, I thought the same thing as far as hashirama reaction to genjutsu is concerned. However Madara could most likely pull off the same feats as hashirama in this context since both of them are near equal in strength. It honestly makes no sense to me if hashirama could break control of orochimaru's edo control but madara can't if he was in hashirama's spot at the time.
Thinking about it, maybe he might even be able to override Nagato's charkra rod tech. The only thing I'm slight unsure about is Koto.
KA has been known to fail before (such as during Uchiha coup d'etat) so it's not an invincible technique. In other words, it's failure rate is > 0%. You could also say that since we haven't seen it used 1v1 against people (in actual combat) in the top 10 (Hashirama, Madara), we don't really know if the technique would be able to stop them or not.
