Hashirama praising Itachi is not what you think

He called Itachi a better shinobi then himself, because of what he did.

I've said this to you befor, Why isn't it possible for hashirama and tobirama to be hailed as the best simply because of their achievements in life and not solely based on strength, yet you wouldn't accept that.

You've always claimed a shinobi is judged on strength and strength alone, yet now you go back on what you've said on older threads.

Well, I think if Hashirama praised Itachi for his actions, I don't think they were too bad. Otherwise, I agree with this thread.

I thought it obvious that he didn't mean in terms of strength, but the lengths that Itachi would go for the village. That is what made him the better shinobi. Not by raw power. Anyone who believes Itachi could even begin to tank Hashirama is sorely mistaken.

I hope he didn't mean by it that Itachi was a better shinobi than him because he whiped out the uchiha clan. Then I would dislike Hashirama because it goes against my personal opinion that the right way of dealing with people who mean a threat would be killing them. Even in this story where everything is about killing.
