Now before you guys/gals make thread about Itachi being a better shinobi then Hashirama (God of shinobi) himself.. READ THIS.
Hashirama's expression when he praised Itachi was not serious.. but instead trying to relax out the mood. However that does not mean his praise was BS. He called Itachi a better shinobi then himself, because of what he did. He was a self-less patriot... who gave his life due to the leaders of the village. Shinobis follow their orders. That is a true shinobi. A true soldier is the one who follows the command of their captain no matter what. HASHIRAMA HIMSELF WAS THE FREAKING COMMANDER lol.
Zabuza, Itachi, Kisame... all were bad people.. but who says they weren't SHINOBI?
Kisame carried out his mission for his village and killed his comrades due to it. He then gave his life so that Obito can get the intel.
Zabuza carried out his missions, because he was a shinobi. He died as a shinobi. When he did not have to kill Tazuna, he didn't.
Remember the chapter named : A TOOL CALLED "SHINOBI"..
Itachi was one of the ones who was USED.
Shinobi are tools.. HOWEVER people like Naruto , Hashirama , Jiraiya.. they were all trying to CHANGE THAT.
CONCLUSION:
Itachi was a great shinobi.. who deserved praise. But that does not mean his actions were that of good. If you people really choose to believe that whole fairy tail about "Uchiha the evil clan".. then you only need to look at Shusui, Fugaku, Izuna...
ALL THAT PRAISE FROM HASHIRAMA MEANT WAS THAT ITACHI WAS A GREAT SELF-LESS SHINOBI.
