Just like to point out that all this "Only Hashirama can defeat me" line anti-Madara fans are using to downplay Madara is nonsense.

EMS Madara and Hashirama were practically equal, they had many battles and always drew, until finally Hashirama got the upperhand

That was EMS, Madara has had 3 upgrades since then:

- EMS Madara
- Rinnegan Madara
- Edo Madara

This current Madara is only hyping Hashirama out of respect, theres no possible way, if Hashirama were to be resurrected, could defeat Madara, infact he'd probably get trolled...

Rinnegan Madara > Hashirama
Edo Madara >>>> Hashirama

Just to inform those who are confused.

Yea you might be right, madara had become stronger after the fight with hashirama as he gained the rinnegan. But Edo Madara isnt really a stage in madara's growth. Edo Madara is just Rinnegan madara many years after the fight with Hashirama. They say with age comes wisdom and the rebirth of Madara isn't lacking at all. He just might be THE STRONGEST character in the manga!!!!

Whether the current rebirth of madara run shop with hashirama is irrelevant, what I wanna know is who the hell is under the mask as tobi and what connection does he have with Madara. Thats going to be the best revelation of the whole manga series!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree that Edo madara>>>Hashi but I don't think that EMS madara and hashi were equal because If I'm correct madara used the kyuubi in his fight with hashi and still lost.

umm, hashirama collected some tailed beasts, without them he wasnt that strong, but when he had them, madara took kyuubi to help him against beasts and with hashirama, but hashirama then took control over kyuubi and used him against madara. madara then got pawned(my thoughts, but hashirama took control over kyuubi during the fight, manga 500, page 5)

Well there's a reason why Madara thinks Hashi can beat him despite him having some of Hashi's powers. Who knows maybe Hashi had a jutsu which can take edo Madara out despite all his power ups. Like lets say a jutsu like DRS which can seal his edo bum without taking Hashi's life. In that case, all his power ups will be useless cos Hashirama can still take him down with that jutsu. Am not saying thats the case but its something to think about.

Latest manga confirms Madara didn't use Perfect Susano against Hashirama. Can we really say Hashirama > EMS Madara? They're atleast equal if not Madara might be a little tougher.

Well since its logic you're interested in . If Madara hadnt used P.S in any of his fights with Hashirama, then all he had to do was use it in his last fight to win. Instead he went through the trouble of bringing Kurama to the fight. What that means is Madara was well aware that anything in his arsenal(P.S included) wouldnt be enough to stop Hashirama.
