Hashi=Gaara 1 on 1?

What's going on with some people. Gaara stands no chance against Hashirama. His large scale Mokuton combined with the Mokuton Bunshins and recovery power leaves Gaara chanceless.

Of course Gaara stands no chance at all, didn't Madara himself said that ALL 5 CURRENT KAGES were a joke compared to Hashirama??
Hashirama would win with ridiculous extreme ease.

Nope, i remember him standing there mocking them the whole time with his arms crossed and not breaking a sweat in the process.
And yeah Tobi did say Minato was worthy of his nickname AFTER GETTING his butt kicked by Minato!! What's your point? The Kages never came even close to beating Madara.

he was not mocking them. he was legitimately worried about onokis experience and said he had to do something about his willpower. and he repeatedly tried and failed to kill them. eventually admitting "right..you do bear the names of kages after all..."

actually they did twice. madara the first time had to go to rinnegan to stop the FRS blowing him to bits. then he resorted to a clone to avoid being sealed by gaara, then he went to PS to avoid being paralysed/sealed again. instead of the same old preta he was using before. he commented that PS is meant to kill everyone who sees it and kages living is a problem for that reputation.

Gaara's fighting style is actually capable more than others. They're somewhat similar in terms of large scale and terrain manipulating. That's if Hashi is only restricted to using Mokuton though. And even then, I still believe Hashi would come out on top. Creating Mokuton clones and an entire forest while he himself merges with the wood like Yamato and Black Zetsu did. He also has healing and could most likely regenerate lost limbs(assuming he has Zetsu-like abilities since they were created through his cells).

Not a bad match-up for either side though they do have similar fighting styles.

I'm in favor of Hashirama(with only Mokuton) in this fight though.

If Madara says Hashi is the only one who can challenge him now and then wipes the floor with Gaara and 4 other kage, I'd give it to Hashi.

And about P.S being meant to kill them, that's not true.He could if he really intended to but he was just showing off his power.Did you not see when he split mountains with his sword with one swing? And the kages in disbelief at such power? Why not just swing that sword at someone's face if he was really trying to kill them?His sole purpose was to break their will and humiliate them.

Hey now, no need to get rude and start getting vulgar. This is a discussion forum and just because more than 80% of people don't see Gaara winning doesn't mean this shouldn't be a civilized topic.

Bottom line is Gaara has lost several times against different people.And no, Madara said the ONLY person he has admired is Hashirama, that's all.He may have admitted he underestimated them BUT regardless in the end he said ''The five Kages anything and everything...your all is as good as nothing before me.'' Well if you re-read the fight youll see that if he wasnt edo he would have died twice in that fight which makes your statement earlier false

Its simple their fighting styles match up waaaaaaaaay different. The difference between madara and hashi fight and gaara and hashi fight is that gaara can fly which counters alot of woodstyle and gaara can fight very effectively from the air. And Madara's cocky and his swags constantly on infinity, just cause he said something doesnt make it true

I understand what you say, BUT do you think if Madara was mortal (not edo) he would fight as carelessly as he did? I don't think so, he knew that anything that was thrown at him wouldn't harm him in the least, however he knew being sealed would be the end of him so THAT kind of thing he did avoid like the plague.

See, in Japan when a warrior is depicted fighting with his arms crossed it means he is showing COMPLETE disregard towards his opponent, not considering the enemy even close to his level. He did that the entire fight.

Again,i see your point but i have mine as well which i provided scans to show Madara mocking the Kages by saying they are nothing before him(that's the LAST thing he said about their powers even AFTER acknowledging them as kages).

Finally let's not forget that we are talking about Gaara alone, against someone who earned the praise and respect of the most arrogant villain in the series who keeps trying to make fun of everyone he faces.

People just keep using hype as a way to make a character win without even considering their abilities.

We saw what hashi could do against hiruzen which wasnt really impressive,gaara can easily fly above hashi's trees,we have no idae what happened with madara,but just becaue hashi beat madara dosent mean he bats everyone weaker than madaa,this isnt dbz,his moukton was perfect to counter susanoo as it supresses pure chakra. Gaara's abilities are very suitable for taking hashirama,as he can also control the environment,has high chakra reserves,can fly,can sense very well,has a way to kill hashi hile ignoring healing jutsus,can summon large waves of sand in one panel.

Gaara had the right skill set to counter joki boy,wile muu even with jinton couldnt all his life,does that automatically mean gaara>muu?,yamato could supress the 4tk naruto,but kakashi couldnt,does that mean yamato>kakashi?,and how do we know hashi's mouktin is far better than what madara showed?,madara was an edo,he could put large amounts of chakra without flinching,tsunade made no mention of it being far weaker than hashirama's version.

Hashirama's hype is very high,but his actual showings against hiruzen were very low.

Flight renders moukton near ineffective,and gaara can attack from his sand sphere easily,his sand burial will make healing useless,until we see more of hashi,gaara wins high diff.
