Yes, of course he does. The only thing Itachi wins in is wisdom and strategies.

In other words no he doesn't, Sasuke doesn't have Itachi's intelligence, insight and genjutsu talent. He only surpassed Itachi in dojutsu strength and ninjutsu talent.

He only surpassed Itachi's use of ninjutsu, but Itachi was the most talented at genjutsu, it's symbolized with them both sharing Amaterasu but one having the more powerful genjutsu and the other having the more powerful katon ability.


Imo they both inherited a portion of Indra's power but as the transmigrant only Sasuke could unlock it with EMS (cause of the prophecy and shit). Sasuke had the stronger chakra and Indra's ninjutsu talent while Itachi had the superior intelligence and Indra's genjutsu talent.

Except both Madara and Sasuke were transmigrants yet had brothers of equal strength. And Itachi shared the same technique as a transmigrant, whereas it's been implied Izuna also had Enton like Sasuke.

And let's not ignore the fact the chakra in Itachi and Izuna's eyes was responsible for allowing Madara and Sasuke to awaken Indra's full eye power (perfect Susanoo and MS without blindness)

if itachi had gotten ems he would have been stronger then sasuke with ems, plus even though it was never shown if an un-indra incarnate could harness ems powers

powerwise sasuke has surpassed itachi, intellectually as well as strategic and wisdom wise. Itachi still takes it IMO

Sasuke has come pretty close actually. As an adult, he thinks more rationally and has even implemented some of Itachi's teachings in one way or another. For instance, during that arc with that mysterious doujutsu, Sasuke showed a calm demeanour and was even better at reading social clues.

Ultimately, Itachi was always more insightful and quick to adapt, whereas Sasuke still remains to be dense sometimes.

I would say, given the time he's had to grow as a character, he's definitely surpassed him in most respects, but sagacity is definitely not one of them. Itachi's wisdom was vast.

If you are comparing 17 year old Sasuke to 22 year old Itachi, then Sure, Itachi dominants him in the wisdom and intelligence department.

If you are comparing 33 year old Sasuke to a 23 year old Itachi, Sasuke surpasses Itachi in everything.
