It all goes down to the ''sannin parallelism'', 200 chapters ago I would have cared, but at this point it seems rather late and forced even if it was predictable and bound to happen.

I don't see how the seal was an asspull. She was noted to have extremely good chakra control in part 1; she completed the tree exercise in the 1st try when it took Naruto and Sasuke days. This shows how far ahead she was at them in chakra control in part 1.
So, by using this skill of hers she started to store chakra into her forehead during the timeskip. It took her 3 years to get enough chakra for the seal. It's not like she did it overnight, it took a long ass time..
Summonings aren't even hard, Sasuke summoned Manda when he had little to no chakra left against Deidara. The only hard part is getting the summoning contract since you need to be strong. Since Sakura is Tsunade's strongest apprentice it would only make sense that Katsuyu allowed it. It's also be foreshadowed that she would summon a slug in chapter 4.
Naruto and Sasuke haven't been the only ones training; I know Kishimoto didn't show it but Sakura has been training like Naruto and Sasuke.
However I do think Kishi should of gave her a fight between the Gaara retrieval arc and the war arc since she was kinda pushed to the sidelines then; and he probably could of shown some more of her training.

No, it's not. Even the chapter 4 foreshadowed Sakura's upcoming power-up.

Yep, it's all plot no jutsu AKA Asspull in an attempt to save/fix her character but as someone said, it's just too late. Should have been way sooner.

Kishi said it himself, he forgot about her. That's all there is to it.
Her recent development was no development, one chapter she was under developed and then the next chapter she was developed all of a sudden. There was no progress or step by step to her recent powerup other than a flashback forcing us to believe that there was progress all along,though we've been reading along the story and seeing Naruto and Sasuke and all these other characters develop and yet nothing being hinted about her 3 years chakra storage.
Kishi tried to shock us by saying her progress was there all along, but it really just looked like a convenient asspull for the sake of putting her alongside Naruto and Sasuke.
Then there is her getting saved. If Kishi really wanted to show off Team 7 as a team, he should've done that in the next chapter when the key points of her no longer requiring saving and being a damsel in distress would have already been made.
Of course the Sakura fans don't have any problem with this and will just defend it. But to be honest, you guys should be much more irritated with Kishi's lack of focus on Sakura and overall bad handling of her character throughout the series.
