Kurama was only referring to Naruto's chakra molding and dispersion abilities, you are jumping to conclusions. Minato doesn't have strong chakra like Kushina to suppress Kurama, he has to do it the hard way. And he did it twice in the manga while Kurama was whole and not just his Yang half.

Your logic must be on a 3rd grade level. Anyone can save Naruto by jumping in the way. Iruka can do that. Ebisu can do that. Teuchi can do that. Konohamaru can do that.
