has Minato ever defeated a kage-level shinobi other than Obito? we know that Minato was the main reason for konohas victory during the third world war. has he defeated any kage-level shinobi before facing Obito?

Obito, A and Bee.
Hashirama we only know of Madara, Tobirama we know of Izuna, Taunade hasn't beat anybody as far as I know... And Hiruzen had that one major fight with Oro.

Not much is said about him fighting kage-level shinobi, but he did fight the 9 tails, not alone, but long enough for people to recognize him as a hero. On top of that he seems like the only person in the series who has told Kurama not to f*** with him. I have no clue who else told Kurama that, but the first person shown doing it is given the title of being a boss. Also he kinda took on a squad that included A and Bee alone, but didn't kill anyone just showed off his pro-ness to them and taught A a lesson.
