In His prime.

So judgeing by that we already know that Prime Hanzo> SM naruto

Proof

With the help of some anonymous friends we have calculated that the sannin were in the early 30's

Jiraiya did his training on Mt Myboku years before the 2nd Shinobi world war broke out, it's safe to say he acquired his toad summoning there, can't say for sure about the other two.

And the Sannin hadn't seen each other Since Then As Tsunade parted ways with Konoha, After Dan and her Brother died, which according to the Databook, was during the 2nd Great Shinobi World war, While Jiraya Went on his Journey to follow Orochimaru's Actions and then the Akatsuki, And Orochimaru Went to Join the Akatsuki, So the team Dissolved. But were Known As the legendary 3.
So judging from Gamabunta's words, My assumption is that They had their summonings Since back then.

there is an Image On the Sannin Having their Summonings in the 2nd Great Shinobi World war.

Yeah its filler but its pretty accurate

I don't think Manda would have been there, because he seems to only work for human sacrifices, but the others are plausible.

Incoming haters

But i think they had their summonings Back then because During the beginning of the Battle of the Legendary 3, Gamabunta Said "Manda and Orochimaru, Katsuyu and Tsunade, Long time no see"

its safe to say they had their summonins or at least orochimaru and jairya

Speculation. It's likely that they did but this doesn't really confirm anything. We didn't see them with their summons in the flashback in the manga.

that manga depiction was very unclear to say the least.it didnt really show how they got beaten...all that was shown was hanzo having his summon and the sannin being exhausted.the sannin could have fought him at 50% of their energy for all we know

They didn't summon them in the fight

i believe they did or at least one of them. either way to defeat them both is a great feat

Didn't show even a clue, we can not assume that. Though it's plausible

no i am not stating anything or making excuses...i am only saying that it isnt appropriate to state Hanzo>SM naruto based on your explanation when we dont really know how the fight went along

Summons have a time limit on them, so they may have summoned them in the beginning or middle of the war, but that does not mean they faced Hanzō‎ with their summons. And since when is the anime a reliable source to go to for such a statement?

all im trying to prove is that they more than likely had their summonings. Jairaiya is pretty proven in op to have it.

the difference is you interpreted it in a wrong way.i was simply saying that there was no description of the fight and that there is too little known about this fight that you should be concluding hanzo>SMnaruto from this

With an opponent like Hanzō, I doubt that they wouldn't even use their summons. Though there isn't solid evidence to back it up, but there's a possibility that they did.

I belive he could have beat them but maybe tsunade dis not release the chakra on her head. No toads on jaraya shoulders so safe to assume he wasn't in sage mode and oro was never a sage and could obly summon snakes. I believe it wasn't a bsttle with summons as I believe the toads are better at combat than any other summon especially that salamader
