True. That one scene was more exciting than the rest of the series, bar some of the moments in the Nue Arc.

It irks me that we never actually find out who the second parents are for Hagoromo, Hamura and their descendants as well and we're just left to fill in the gaps on whether they're genetically fullblooded Otsutuski or not. Or are we supposed to assume they created their kids using Yin Yang Release? Poor writing imo
Bold is what confused me today. Toneri obviously knew of the main ototsukis but he was shocked when he learned the truth that there is a main clan. So i assume he learned out about the main clan after "The Last"
He sure shares most features but not all. He has no horn like them. He only had one while in tenseigan mode. So he's still partly human as well. Naruto was insulted as an inferior life form despite having the power of the god tree AND Ototsuki Ashura's soul inside of him.

Its possible that the moon Otsutsuki were aware of the main branch initially but probably they were turned into a myth as time passed a just like the So6P. That's why Toneri was shocked to find that they still exists imo.

There is a main and side family on the moon, and a REAL main family out in space. He is part human, since you can tell Hamura had a human wife as the old man who shows Hinata the flashback has brown hair and brown beard.

Well i'm only speculating as well but Toneri and the other moon guys are more Otsutsuki than human if at all while Naruto and the rest are more human. What royalty? Hagoromo don't believe in stuff like that so why would his offsprings??? Respect wise senju and Uchiha did respect each other even Ashura and Indra's reincarnations even tho they was at war with each other.
