Currently, I'm at 140s (still a long way to go (
)
Well, while reading around 130-140s something clicked about this manga and the mangaka. I'm not sure if it's true or not.
Around these chapters, Ippo's Mom gets hospitalized due to exhaustion/overwork and Ippo had to take up the business responsibilities and came up with a decision to quit boxing. That time, his high school friend, Umezawa shows up to help Ippo and himself for his career. Umezawa plans to become a mangaka and wanted to make a boxing manga.
I thought, the mangaka of Ippo might also had somewhat similar fate but not exactly same as in the manga. The number of chapters talks a lot about his(mangaka's) love for Boxing.
Am I right?
By the way, why isn't there a separate section for Hajime no Ippo?
