Hagoromo's stature lessened in the Shinobi world

With all of this Naruto and Sasuke conflict going on I figured I would create a thread with a different topic to ease the base a little knowing the anticipation of the new manga release tonight will lead to more Sasuke and Naruto threads, so I decided to discuss another topic.

I know Hagoromo is still top 10 and one of the most powerful ninja in the world, butI was just wondering since Kaguya Oototsuki was introduced in the manga and when Hagoromo himself admitted inferiority to his mother regardless of the fact he is the Sage of 6 Paths and whatnot, I was just thinking how badly degraded he was these past few chapters, not only was he revealed to have assistance in fighting the Juubi, the assistance of his brother who appeared from thin air.​

The beast was sealed insise us, which was a bit of a let down. So this means that the Hagoromo split the Juubi in half and took on equal portions of the Juubi within themselves much like the Madara and Naruto situation. Obito stole a portion of the tailed beasts chakra from Madara and they now have portions of the tailed beasts within them which I find weird. So I wonder what happened to the other brothers portion of the tailed beasts? Maybe flashbacks will reveal this and how the tailed beasts halves were combined again, or were they?

Moving on it also is a shocker that not only did he have assistance with the Juubi, and he split the halves of the tailed beasts meaning he was not the full Juubi Jinchuriki, but he is also inferior to his mother which he admits to below. Naruto asks him if she was stronger then him and Hagoromo admitted that she was stronger then anyone else.​

Conclusion: Hagoromo, the almighty Sage defeated the Juubi with the assistance of his brother, whom he split the Juubi in half with and sealed within himself, he is also not the most powerful being in the ninja world, his mother was. Incomplete Juubi host, defeated it with assistance, and is inferior to his mother.

Other then that I agree, he was inferior to his mother and he had assistance in defeating the Juubi.

He is still powerful and the mighty Sage of Six Paths, but I was just implying that he has been a bit overrated and exaggerated, not a thing was known of his mother till then and she swipes his title.

Well, pre jin sage was probably not all that powerful until he became the juubi host. He's a complete host btw, the viz corrects this. Still bit of shocker that his mother is stronger than him.

That kinda sets up Naruto verse as the strongest bar DBZ and Gurren Laggan. However, I'm not entirely convinced that you can use the rinnegan's full power(bar some special ones like Limbo) when being a juubi jin. For instance, Madara did not use preta path to absorb Naruto's lava style: ransenshuriken.
