I just finished reading it, myself. Some good theories turned out to be wrong, but some of them were good, nonetheless.

Still, normally I'm 100% with Viz. The fact that two other translations screwed up like this makes me doubt this translation by about 5% lol.

Though Viz would fit with what we have been told all this time, that Sage sealed the juubi into himself. Though, it was also said he defeated the Juubi himself.

His brother is most likely An Uzumaki. Rikudo's brother was probably the one who sealed the juubi inside Rikudo being an uzumaki and it's also plausible that he was the one who turned kaguya into the reaper death seal (or used her as a seal)
