The Hōzuki clan are a group of ninja that originated from Kirigakure. They The members of this clan possesses the Hiden ability to turn their bodies into a liquid form using the Hydrification Technique. This ability however seems to require that they stay hydrated at all times and as such at least two known members are known to carry water bottles around with them. Mangetsu and Suigetsu are very gifted swordsmen, and are known as the Second Coming of the Demon. It has also produced the Second Mizukage.
Looks: Mangetsu has relatively long white hair and pointed, shark-like teeth, a trait that the members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist possess. He wears an outfit very similar to his brother's, which consists of a dark sleeveless shirt, light-coloured pants and striped leg-warmers typical of his village. Like his brother, he carries a water bottle in a belt around his waist. He wears bandages around his neck, another trait shared by the seven swordsmen, and a standard Kirigakure forehead protector. Overall, Mangetsu and Suigetsu bear great resemblance to one another
Personality: Mangetsu is calm and collected unlike his brother making him an expert of the silent killing technique. He is able to master many styles because of his perseverance and tenacity.

Abilities:
As one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, Mangetsu is one of the most powerful shinobi produced within Kirigakure. Mangetsu's generation of swordsmen was even noted to be the strongest in the village's history. Mangetsu is also capable of using Silent Killing, as seen when fighting the Third Division of the Allied Shinobi Forces while under the effect of Zabuza Momochi's Hiding in Mist Technique.

Hōzuki's Abilities:
The members of this clan specialise in turning their bodies into a liquid form using the Hydrification Technique. This ability allows them to alter their body in various ways such as turning their body completely water that can nullify physical attacks from projectile weapons and taijutsu. The technique itself allows them to freely move around and escape certain techniques if caught in a bind. however the only way to contain a user of the hydrification technique is to lock them up within an air tight container and preventing them from escaping through flowing like water. When using the Hydrification technique the user becomes more vulnerable to lightning based techniques and as such adds a +10 damage to the lightning technique if made contact with the user. Members of the clan can also via the hydrification technique, releases a single droplet of water at the intended enemy with a tremendous amount of force, from the finger-tip of one of their index fingers, after firstly shaping the respective hand in such a manner that it resembles a gun. The Hozuki clan are also proficient in the usage of water techniques and have a specialty for their useage allowing to perform water techniques with less hand seals than they may need with regular shinobi.
Hiramekarei (ヒラメカレイ)
Hiramekarei (ヒラメカレイ) is a double-handled sword of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, wielded by Choujuro. This is the only sword still in Kirigakure's possession out of the original seven blades by the time of the Fourth Shinobi World War. The weapon itself features an enormous wide and flat blade with two indentations near its base, creating a sort of guard, and two handles connected to each other by a short length of cord, earning it the title of "twinsword" (双刀, soutou). Overall the sword looks like a flatfish, hence its name.

The blade, and especially the two holes at the tip of the blade, are capable of emitting chakra on command, which can then be formed into various weapons, including a hammer or a longer sword. The size of the resulting weapon appears to depend upon the amount of chakra stored up beforehand, meaning a larger quantity will be met with a similar increase in the weapon's ultimate size. However, regardless of the weapon's dimensions, the emission and subsequent formation of the chakra always occurs with astounding speed. Be it to evade an enemy's attack during a short range battle, to infiltrate a structure, or to launch a surprise attack in a liquefied state, this technique boasts a high strategic value. Using this, the user can also re-shape their body parts for suitable situations. The only way to contain a user of this technique is to lock them up in an airtight container so they cannot move about. When the user passes out, they turn into a jelly-like state. As this technique turns the body into water, the user is vulnerable to lightning techniques. Background Info.
History:
Mangetsu Hōzuki is a shinobi born into Kirigakure's Hōzuki clan. He had a younger brother by the name of Suigetsu and they both trained with the intention of becoming members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist together. This dream acted as their motivation for them both to complete cruel missions day by day. Mangetsu was the first to become a member of the Seven Swordsmen, mastering all seven of the swords of the swordsmen of the mist.
