Alright first of all...genjutsu is not just done through sight...its done with all the senses so a sound genjutsu, smell genjutsu and such could affect Guy. Also Guy and kakashi have a record of how many wins and losses they've had since they are called eteranal rivals. So i dont think one could beat the other to easy if they are eternal rivals and clearly guy has had access to the gates for awhile.

dude kakashi is not capable of sound genjutsu or any other genjutsu like inzanami, or smell or anything else

as far as we have seen in the series kakashi can only do simple genjutsu which you can break out of easily by disturbing your own chakra, sakura and naruto even broke out of kakashi worthless genjutsu

and guy just plays with kakashi everyone can see if guy decide to get serious he will wreck him

plus guy himself stated he was stronger than kakashi bak when naruto were just kids

Even with 7 gates open there are find of ninja who can beat him.
Nagato (with or without his paths)
Sasori
Itachi
Bee
Hidan (can't die and Guy would have to come close witch gives him yhe chance to do his ritual)
Orochimaru (not even 4 tailed Naruto could stop him)
Jiraiya (Sage mode with all those summons)
Gaara (we saw what happened to Lee)
Ooki (you know who I'm talking about)
Kakashi (he'd just out smart him: like he does to everyone in most his battles)
A (that lightning armor is hard to get around and his speed)
Tobi (you can't actually touch him we've seen how taijutsu fails to work him every time)
After those guys though he pretty much can own everyone else.

i dont know about gaara.. lee didnt have 7 gates at the time.. and guy is much better than lee and the only way kakashi woud win if he simply tricked him.. and only because he knows guy more than anybody else.
i think oro and j-man would be close fights i cant really say about the others.. i just know it wouldnt be easy on them at all..

Not poking holes in the arguement, but IMO specifically sound genjutsu wouldnt hit guy in 7 gates form because i believe that at that point guy is moving faster than the speed of sound (If ANYONE is, it's guy)

its never come up in convo for me before though so what do you think?

In battle Kakashi is known to be a much more tactful fighter who is very careful unlike Guy who usually rushes in, that tactic though does work for Guy. Kakashi knows about Guys abilities, most of them, and would have a plan to counter them. Oh and just so you know, I feel that Guy would win much more often then Kakashi would in a fight but it wont be easy for him.

There is a reason that the two are rivals, they are equals in battle though guys has the upper hand in taijutsu while kakashi has the upper hand in ninjutsu. U sing Kamui would not be a wise move since Kakashi wouldn't be able to get Guy with it that easily, not saying that he couldn't ever do it but would be VERY difficult.
