Kakashi (in the second appearance of Zabuza) said that Zabuza is strong and the mist really poses a problem.

Zabuza is really slept on.

Hmm i think the mist would really pose a problem..... he uses his mist... guy uses the gates and goes really fast and he could run right into the executioner blade since he cant see anything.

Gai would win this. But why are some of you people underestimating Zabuza severely? Just because he was beat doesn't make him one of the weakest characters. Come on, he was one of the Seven Swordsman for a reason.

Gai fairly easily when he opens his gates air rushes everywhere and would push the fog away like it di the water when he fought kisame. He doesn't even need to go seventh gate to push away the fog. Gai is much faster than Zabuza in 6th gate and should he somehow get trapped in the prison going 7th gate should break it. I really don't see much of a chance for Gai nor do I see Gai allowing Zabuza to form all the handseals necessary for his techniques.
