Yes, you must reduce Gai's power a lot to be destoried by Zabuza.
Yea, Zabuza would defeat Gai without gates.
But with gates, Zabuza is no match for Gai.

Kakashi was getting kicked to the curb when the mist was up. The only reason he wasn't dead was because his Sharingan increased his reflexes greatly and he was able to dodge with not that much difficulty and allowed himself to be cut. This is something Guy doesn't have. You say Guy has the best reflexes however Sharingan users have better.

First of all, why are you linking me to that page? It's Kakashi saying he can't see. We all know you can't see in the mist.

Kakashi only got hit because he decided to be. He could have blocked Zabuza's attacks if he wished to do so. Gai would be capable of the same. It's simply down to getting Zabuza in a CQC situation.

I already said that's why Kakashi got cut. And I directed you to that page because it also shows Kakashi getting kicked back in the mist even having his Sharingan.

You're using Kakashi blocking an attack in the mist to help your defense?

The sharingan was useless in that situation. Kakashi was relying on his taijutsu/reflexes in that situation. Zabuza says it "I make that keen eye of yours useless". Kakashi even states his reflexes are hindered because of not being able to see, but he still managed to block.

Gai is all about taijutsu/speed/reflexes. He's superior to Kakashi by quite a decent bit in that regard. Hell, he's probably superior to any ninja we've seen in this series in that regard(only counting base ninjas, not counting stuff like Lightning Armor enhanced Raikages). Zabuza can only hope to catch him off-guard, and I'm not sure you can do that to Gai in regards to taijutsu/reflexes/etc.

The mist would spell death for quite a few ninja..Gai is not one of them.

That being said, its implied that even a 3 tomoe Sharingan puts your reflexes above most if not all.

Zabuza was wrong about saying it was totally useless. Kakashi said he couldn't see, true, but if something get's close to him because of the Sharingan he would be able to react in time, such as when he countered a dozen shuriken thrown at him by Zabuza,

Zabuza was saying that his Sharingan GENJUTSU is useless because of his eyes being closed, it still enhanced Kakashi's reflexes, even though slightly it still helped Kakashi.

Your whole argument is just saying Guy has good reflexes, however if this was the case:
