Guy (no gates) vs Zabuza

Am I crazy for thinking that Zabuza can beat Guy if Guy can't use his Inner Gates?

I am fully aware that Guy is very fast, however when he faced Kisame who had a 4/5 in DB for speed, which Zabuza also has; Kisame was keeping up with him no problem. The only reason Kisame lost was because he didn't know Hirudora was a taijutsu. Also, Zabuza is tied with Kisame for having a 4.5/5 in DB for Taijutsu and has a comparable sized sword that would make Guy keep a distance. That being said, Guy without his gates will not stomp Zabuza so easily, Zabuza would put up a very good match in tai/kenjutsu against him.

Also, don't tell me Zabuza won't be able to put up the mist because when Zabuza was edo and was facing Kakashi's division (which included Guy), Zabuza put it up in front of the 10000+ shinobi. In other words, he put it up against Guy and 10000 other ninja with him which also included Kakashi and Rock lee, two more incredibly fast shinobi. He already put it up against Guy, you can't go against the manga on that.


That being said, the Hidden Mist Jutsu will be up and Guy can't sense Zabuza nor does he have a jutsu to counter it, he will fall to Zabuza's Water Clone feints, if Zabuza even needs them.

Gai's reflexes are second to none. It's possible to react to Zabuza in the mist...difficult, but possible. Kakashi was capable of it in part 1, part 2 Gai would most certainly be capable of it. The only question would be is if Gai can engage in a fight with Zabuza without him retreating then trying the silent killing again. It'd be a long, drawn out, boring fight if that were the case..but all it would take is Gai getting Zabuza in to a CQC situation and he can take the win. There are an extremely small amount of shinobi who can beat Gai in taijutsu, and Zabuza is not one of them.

Maybe if Zabuza is close to a water source and can use his suiton techniques it'd work out better for him.

zabuza would win we all know that guy is useless without his inner gates like the time he was fighting with kisame on the water while neji,rock lee and tenten were trapped the only thing he had to do was to open the gates so yeah zabuza would win

Kakashi was getting kicked to the curb when the mist was up. The only reason he wasn't dead was because his Sharingan increased his reflexes greatly and he was able to dodge with not that much difficulty and allowed himself to be cut. This is something Guy doesn't have. You say Guy has the best reflexes however Sharingan users have better.

You underrate Zabuza too much, and in this case you are underrating the Sharingan.

The only reason I made this thread was to prove a point to someone about Guy's placement without gates on his Tier list.

But with the normal openings, I think Zabuza would beat Guy.

If Zabuza didn't have mist, I still see him winning.

If Kisame was able to put up a fight against Guy when Kisame has 4/5 for speed in db and 4.5/5 for taijutsu in db, and Zabuza has those same stats. Plus he has the Kubikiribocho, he'd be able to put up a good fight too. Are you forgetting he's a Legendary Swordsman from the preowned group The Legendary Seven Ninja Swordsmen from the mist, noted to be the best generation?

Zabuza could also make a lot of Water Clones to stall Guy and use Giant Vortex Jutsu to wipe him out then Water Prison.

Can Guy use Hirudora without the gates ? If he can, he wins this, if he can't then Zabuza takes this, mainly due to Guy having almost nothing else.
