Guy is top 10 strongest shinobi?

I am pretty sure the manga has never stated something like that and let's say if what you stated is correct, why would Guy make a fighting style to avoid genjutsu when he could simply open 1 gate and be immune to genjutsu.

The ninja needs to stop the flow of chakra in their body, and then apply an even stronger power to disrupt the flow of the caster's chakra; this is called Genjutsu Dissipation (幻術解, Genjutsu Kai). This can also be done by an unaffected ninja by applying a sudden surge of chakra into the affected person. In addition, tailed beasts can break their jinchūriki out of genjutsu in a similar fashion if they have a good enough cooperation, as seen in Killer B's case.

If you release a gate, the sudden release of chakra should be able to release genjutsu. Plus, he doesn't spam gates until the situation calls for it.

Guy make an alternate way to beat genjutsu to avoid been direct attacked by enemy when he closing the gate which make him suffer more damage.

Thats very easily counter able, just use hiding like a mole to dig deep and avoid the explosion

No offense, but this thread is dumb. It's like saying "Deidara should be in the top 10 because he can just commit suicide in the beginning of the fight and tie!". Honestly, if the best Gai can do is tie, Gai shouldn't be in the top 10 against people who would kill him.

And Gai would still lose against Nagato, even in the 7th gate.

Somehow i think Nagato is overestimated for a skinny person which have antenna all over the body.
I think Gai is underestimated cuz he only using gates instead of jutsu.

I agree based on what I saw and know from the 7th gate and the hype of the 8th, no doubt. plus rinnegan has a weakness to taijutsu. Not really a weakness but it's weaker in that field as stated by Madara himself "only physical attack will work." but ofc you gonna have some ppl hatin on Gai. I seen nearly every character on the good side get their a$$ kicked but Gai.
