onmyodon just means yin-yang release. TSB contain onmyodon in addition to 5 basic elements, onmyodon and TSB are not the same thing

We didn't see Naruto use onmyodon because they were fighting guys that could touch the TSB. They wouldn't display the same effects as they did against the Hokage because it wouldn't have worked on Madara or Kaguya.

Naruto did display a yin-yang release technique when he used creation of all things to create Kakashi's eye. If Naruto can do that, how could he not have been able to use omnyodon? RSM gave him universal knowledge on chakra, so he would be able to use it.
