I'd say MGS or Mass Effect, though I really can't compare them or put one as my ultimate favourite. Also Elder Scrolls, Silent Hill and Red Dead franchise, for thee art and feel. Good times..

It's Zelda and it's not even close. Everything in all of the games everyone else has mentioned came from Zelda: Inventory screens, targeting systems, tons of RPG elements, puzzle solving, boss battles, Health and magic meters, dungeons, and platforming.
