THANK YOU, a man with sense. Rakim is the lyrical God, listen to Follow The Leadernas as number one.....sorry but no...ilmatic was revolutionary all the other albums inbetween were shit but his latest album did live u[ to ilmatic.....he's not number one top 5 tho defiantly
And you have to put Rakim in there he actually made rap what it is and is just a beast....
Top--
Biggie
Eminem
Rakim
Nas
Tribe called quest
Dre
tupac
Tupac is overrated, his only good albums are 2pacalypse Now and Me Against The World, the rest were s***.
Big was good, Ready To Die wasn't too lyrical, just hard hitting, a hardcore anthem. LAD was s***.
I haven't listen to too much Nas, but Illmatic is just wow, listen to Halftime.
KRS-One is good, you gotta hear him though, you cant just listen, you gotta hear him (no ones gunna get that reference..)
Asheru is good for a new rapper, if anyones seen The Boondocks you'll understand.
Immortal Technique is good, haven't listened to too much of him but he's hard, no beating around the bush
Wu-Tang are good, they have a serious style yet they dont take it seriously, I like them
If i haven't mentioned a rapper they either aren't good enough or I haven't listened to them or I just forgot.
