Even as a child Itachi had the same reasoning as a Hokage - nuff said.

He would have been Hokage himself if he wouldnt have been from the wrong clan.

Best mastery over Sharingan (Madara got blind way too quick after obtaining MS), became Anbu captain very fast, prevented a war between Uchiha and Konoha (which would have weakened the village and probably created a opening for other villages to attack) and obtained the legendary Sword of Totsuka and Yata Mirror. And he recently stopped Kabuto/Edo Tensei, the war would have been already lost without that.

Still the point is that Naruto isn't significantly stronger than either Nagato or Itachi. Because Nagato nearly killed him AND Itachi has powerful techniques that Naruto will have a hard time dealing with. Not to mention that both Nagato and Itachi have the advantage of being smarter than Naruto.

I'm not saying Naruto is weak because he isn't but he hasn't surpassed everyone clearly just yet.

I'd say Itachi, to be able to think like a Hokage aged 7, become an ANBU captain at 12 and be able to orchestrate an entire battle despite not knowing what to expect is pretty damn impressive.

(PS: Naruto isn't a genius, he just works hard and gets help finding different ways to make learning easier.)

But, in terms of raw brain power, I wouldn't put any of them at the top. Shikaku was the smartest guy we knew in the Narutoverse.

seconded.. itachi is very talented, in 7 yrs old he already have the intelegent of kages..
nobody came up with sick ideas and plan to the last detail like itachi.. i mean he is master of deception.. he can see and break the curse of hatred

What are you talking about? Minato knows about Tobirama's FTG, remember his fight with Tobi?

No, Naruto can't deal with Nagato that easily since he has all of Pain's power in 1 body. Shinra Tensei, chakra sucking, and the soul sucking amongst other things.

And Itachi can block a bijuudama using his Yata Mirror besides even before that starts he can use Tsukuyomi on Naruto and kill him before Kurama breaks him out. He can Amaterasu Kurama when it takes its full form and before it can form a TBB like Sasuke did to Hachibi. And there's still Izanami which doesn't even require eye contact.

Minato and Itachi are genius but I can't choose two so I picked Minato.
Those two when they fight they analyze the enemy weak point while fighting and win so i guess the most who deserve to be called Genius are Minato & Itachi.

its not even questions, from the hype we ahve heard and considering itachi's role in manga and from what we know, it goes to
Itachi or minato. we still need to see more of minato however and he could disappoint in the genius section.
