1. Gai/Lee.

Geniuses of Taijutsu through hard work and determination, Gai can open all of the 8 Gates.

2. Minato

Created a rank S technique - FTG - and a rank A, became Hokage at barely 20 years.

3. Kakashi

Chunin at 7 years, fought in wars, Jounin at 13 years.

4. Itachi

Sharingan mastery very, very early, ANBU Captain, was regarded as a genius aged 7, beat his Uchiha brethren 1 v 3 easily.

5. Naruto

Perfected Sage Mode, became a perfect Jin, created FRS.

Rock lee i wouldnt put in the top 5... he has got where he is through pure hard work and dedication admittingly he is the only 1 apart from gai to be able to open the 8 gates but that to is done from effort

I'd say Itachi, to be able to think like a Hokage aged 7, become an ANBU captain at 12 and be able to orchestrate an entire battle despite not knowing what to expect is pretty damn impressive.

(PS: Naruto isn't a genius, he just works hard and gets help finding different ways to make learning easier.)

But, in terms of raw brain power, I wouldn't put any of them at the top. Shikaku was the smartest guy we knew in the Narutoverse.
