Greatest era of the Naruto Manga

In my opinion, the greatest era of the Naruto manga was the span between the Hidan and Kakuzu arc all the way to the end of the Pain arc. This era had all the best fights that included actual ninja tactics and lacked significant use of either giant Susanoo's or Giant biju transformations. Yes they were used in a few, but only for the climaxes of the fights, not the entire durations. All these fights were very short, by later war arc standards, and I feel they were the most purified form of a ninja battle.

With that said, please tell me which of these fights were your favorite by voting in the poll and telling us why you feel that way. If you feel strongly this was not the best era and have other fights you felt were the best, please detail it below and thanks for reading as always!

By era I simply meant timeframe including one or more story arcs. So no, not era as one would classically define it.

Sasuke Vs Deidara was the best battle of the story. It was intelligent,strategic, and a good length.

Sasuke was once again in a battle where he was fighting an opponent who was using powers he had never seen before, he analyzed his opponent, came up with multiple stratgies while fighting, and successfully did them leading to multiple hits, and his victory.

Everything played out very well.

One of the most impactful battles was Sasuke Vs Itachi due to obvious reasons.

I respect your opinion, very original, for me it was probably the most boring with forgettable fodders as the Sound 4.



My favorite arc could be Pein vs Konoha, but I also enjoyed the previous time before the Ninja War Arc and all of the excitement about the coffins and Kabuto and Madara and Obito, it all turned pretty much "Detective KonAN" and we could forget for a while about fights while being stressed about Naruto.

I enjoyed S-rank mission "Let´s Kill Zabuza" too

Naruto vs Pain was the best fight.

Fan favorite for sure, the poll tells the story. My favorite fights used to be Sasuke vs. Deidara or Pain vs. Jiraiya, but after re-watching Sasuke vs. Bee, I found that one the best.

Reason being, Sasuke faced an opponent of such strength that he literally got killed..... twice. Karin saved him once and Juugo rescued him the second time. Bee was the only other shinobi to ever use the lightning enhanced sword style, rendering Sasuke's technique useless. Seeing him die to that and to underestimate how a Jin is immune to Genjutsu.... it was just an unmatched fight overall.

Best fight of this era? Hmmm, I would say Pain vs. Jiraiya. Although Hidan and Kakuzu vs Asuma and company is a close second, it was really sad to see Asuma die. He was one of my favorites, and I felt like no one cared when he died.
