With the power of the tailed beasts Sasuke became alot more powerful than before reaching a new level but Madara still has more experience and better taijutsu yeah sure Sasuke isn't short judging he's immune to poison and has enton and also more experienced with senjutsu but limbo will give Sasuke a hard time and wood release is pretty powerful too
so unless Sasuke's rinnegan have more special skills that Madara's dose not then the only way for Sasuke to surpass him through feats or when he gets older.

I admit Sasuke is my fav character but I can't deny this fact.

When was nagato said to be as strong as Hagoromo? Plus, current statements > previous statements if they directly contradict each other. Sasuke was stated to be on the level of Hagoromo w/ the bijuu in the last chapter, therefore he is.
