So obviously the Tournament of Power is going on in Super right now and I don't have any problem with that, I actually enjoy the tournament for the most part and cant wait to see how it ends.
But this post is about two half-saiyans who aren't fighting in the tournament, Goten and Trunks.
I had been hoping to see some development for the two since super has started, but there has been little to nothing on the pair.
I understand it can be difficult to develop weaker characters in a series where power reigns supreme and where there are much more powerful warriors in the same universe, but I was thinking that now (with the top 10 warriors in U7 currently away from earth) perhaps an evil could come to earth to try and take advantage of the opportunity. (I think the Boruto series does a great job of making the fights serious and life-threatening while also having more powerful characters around.
It gives Boruto and others time to develop while also maintaining intensity, which is why Son Goku and Friends Return! was not as good as it could have been, because Goku and Vegeta were literally standing right there watching the fight.)
Enter Goten and Trunks, who would finally be forced to the front lines and made to fight seriously without goku or vegeta there to bail them out. I think it would be a perfect opportunity to see them ascend to ss2 or to see another legitimate gotenks appearance.
