"Good" Is Subjective; Naruto Might As Well Be A Villain

I'd like to point out something that kind of irritates me when people start talking good guys and bad guys.

In truth, there ARE no good guys or bad guys. At least not in the sense we think of. "Good" or "Bad" is completely subjective to which side you are on; for instance, we consider Naruto "good" because we see the story from his point of view, whilst Kisame could be considered "good" for sticking to his organization and remaining loyal, even though he was a "villain".

Obito and Madara are widely considered the "villains" of the story. Why? When you look at it from their angle, they're just trying to acheive world peace as well, albeit through their own methods. And yet they are condemed as the "villains" of the series because of how WE view the story.

If we look at it from Obito and Madara's angle, Naruto might as well be the villain. He killed (and attempted to kill) members of the Akatsuki and dozens if not hundreds of zetsus. What makes that any different from Madara and Obito killing people off from the Alliance and such? The fact that the Alliance are "good guys"?

The terms "good" and "bad" are completely reliant on what side you are veiwing the conflict from. To some, Obito and Madara would be considered "heroes".

Ive heard this before :| So If I get so pissed and cut ff your masturbating hand, that'd be bad right? But to some religions, where masturbating is wrong, what Im doing would be good right? Makes sense

Did you really have to bring that into this?

Anyways, yes, if that religion viewed it as a good thing then it would be to them.

Madara and Obito are doing it for their selfish reasons, peace isn't right if you're gonna force it upon people .. Naruto is saving the world, not for himself only but for others also ... No one wants to be in the fake world because its not going to be them .. Just some gen jutsu zombies ... It doesn't matter what they want because they both want peace .. The only thing is that one said wants to gain it by trust and honesty and the other wants it by lies and fake .. Now tell my who's good and bad here BR00?

we saw the whole story from both of people's angle and we are old enough to judge that kidnapping a one minute child is not good,if obito's goal was kurama then why didn't he take it and left.so he's evil.

In that case, dont expect to have righty for to long ;)

Nope, that's weird.

You only view truth and honesty as "good" because you were raised that way. Somebody (like Obito) sees forcing peace upon people as "good". Who's to say your "good" is better than his "good"?

If this was from Obito's point of view, he'd be a pretty shitty hero.

1. Attacked the leaf village and attempted to kill a pregnant woman.
2. Created and manipulated a group of criminals to gather tailed beasts.
3. Helped destroy a clan (That one is different but I need more arguments)
4. Attacked the Summit of the world leaders.
5. Started a war with the rest of the world by allying with a psychopath.

When everyone is trying to stop you, you can bet you're actually the bad guy.

Wrong Good and Evil are not subjective. Good and Evil are eternal concepts,Universal Concepts that manifest it self in the particular.Without Universal Concepts to relay on and Universal Definitions people do terrible things to each other and justify it with what ever concept is popular at the time. Thats why even if you have great power over others docent make you'r decision right or just.

Hitler also wanted complete control in WW2, it would be his version of Peace, Global Domination, which is what Obito and Madara are attemtping to accomplish, if their plan works, they will be the ones in control. I think we all know about the terrible actions Adolf Hitler performed, sorry, I don't agree with this.

You forgot that Naruto is doing it for a selfish reason too =/ he just wants to become hokage no more no less. Madara and Obito atlest want to bring peace to the world. And btw fake peace is better the real war.

Good and Evil are in no way universal.

There are tribes of cannibals. Now obviously you or me views this as "wrong" but if you were raised in that village, you would view cannabalism as "good".

The point is, Naruto never really killed anyone, Naruto wants peace. Some of the Akatsuki he and his friends took down where lunatics. Obito is clearly nuts. Some films are done from the view of the killers, does that make them the good guys? Nope. Yes, good is subjective, but where do you draw the line for what makes someone a good person or someone who is plain and simply evil?

Look at Hitler, he thought he was doing something good for Germany, if we watched a film that followed him about, would you be like "Go get those jews Hitler!!"? I would think not.. Some people may think what they do is a "good" thing but at times, its delusional thinking.

Wrong again.

What makes something "good"? Please define it.

Welcome to basic Philosophy^^. Where good and bad are only subjective due to your perception of the matter, regardless of if it's true or not.

The definition of "good" is based on the majority.
-What Naruto sees as good is also what the whole ninja world sees. So technically Naruto is a good guy.

An individual can not define what is good or bad, it is completely based on the society or the community one lives in. If you follow the given rules in that community then you are deemed a good guy...So Naruto is a good guy and Obito is a bad guy.

Yes, the are, Example if you base you'r freedom coming only from the goodness of the government you can wake up one day as a slave. If you say you'r freedom comes from God an Eternal Concept then the state must prove by due process of the law an overwhelming evidence you'r guilt to take away you'r freedom and incarcerate you. Law in the USA is base on eternal concepts. We hold this truth to be self evident that God the creator has made all men equal. Not Man not government.

1. Pregnat woman JINCHURIKI
2. In order to create 10 tails so he can make peace.
3. Helped to destroy a CLAN who wanted to destroy a village
4. Obito didn't attacked the summit you fool =/ Obito didn't hurt anyone at the summit he just saved Sasuke and Karin.
5. In life you don't chose to get cancer, you don't chose to be bullied, you don't chose that your family and loved ones die by illnes, old age etc. AND YOU DON'T CHOSE TO BE A PSYCHOPATH! IT'S A MENTAL ILLNESS AND THERES NO MEDICINE FOR IT NEITHER A WAY TO STOP IT!!!

That's bullsh!t. EXAMPLE: There are 20 people in a cell in a jail. 1 is a psychopath and attacks another one (who didn't do anything) with a knife and stabs him. The wounded has a deep wound and so another 1 (lets call him Jerry) tries to help him with stoping his bleeding etc.. BUT the other 18 in the cell stoped Jerry from helping the wounded one.

QUESTION: Jerry tried to help the wounded guy (who was good hearted and didn't do anything wrong) but everyone stopped him. So was Jerry a good guy? YES But with your logic he was a bad guy for helping a wounded good hearted guy.
