I was rewatching the Frieza fight(found a great video on YT with all of it in one clip, did you know that fight takes 2 hours no commercials no filler no long power up growls, that's pretty impressive to me) and I thought of something.

Can Goku use Kaioken(sp??) AND SSJ mode at the same time? I don't remember it being stated that he couldn't but I can't think of a time he's bothered to try. Now before the people come in with why use Kaioken when you have SSJ, well, Kaioken boosts your attributes if you go SSJ then activate Kaioken 10 wouldn't that boost his already boosted SSj stats by 10? It should right?

He did use them at the same time against Pikkon, Heard that was filler tho, he probably could do them no idea why he hasn't tried.

I think he used it against pikkon if im not mistaken.

Probably because of the stress that Kaioken would put on the body. Super Saiyan already does enough, Vegeta commented that going Super Saiyan accelerated the effects of his heart disease, and Kaioken already puts so much strain on the body that Yajoribe's pat on the back hurt Goku and caused him to scream. Even though the effects of Super Saiyan's strain were reduced, the surplus of energy that would result would probably tear Goku's body apart, or at least, do more harm than good.

Thanks I didn't remember him using it in that battle. I also found this on their wiki page

Similar-Super Saiyan God The colors for SSJG are red and yellow, Kaioken is Red and SSJ is yellow, maybe the step to unlocking SSJG has to do with SSJ and KaioKen
