Goku vs Superman isnt a fair debate

inherently it was a shit debate.
only reason we debate it is because they are the two most iconic powerful heroes in western media (though spiderman should be more popular than goku, but we all know spideys not in supermans league)

for one the two series are governed by very different rules. for example if goku's in DC universe, IT is useless.

second, they arent even the strongest characters in said series. lucifer morningstar, spectre and many villains are generally above superman and whis is above goku

third, the canonicity of superman pre new 52 is questionable at best. if we are going by pure official retconned canon, goku wins. if we are taking into account everything, like gt and silver age, then superman godstomps.

a fairer debate is the strongest of the new 52 vs whis. that way we cant argue back and forth about canonicity or ridiculous silver age powers.
or just leave anime to anime and comics to comics.

I.e Look at Roushi - with a power level of 100 he was able to destroy the moon. A humans power level is 5 but it's obvious that 20 humans can't destroy the moon.

Therefore this is likely a massivly compounded effect on power level and 20 the power level doesn't mean 20 times the strength.

But if you work it out like this SSJ has enough power to wipe out the universe easily...

Kid, are you mentally pained? SSJ universe busting? If that is the case, why was kid buu under galaxy level? It doesnt even matter if you mean current SSJ with SSJ god feats. strength =/= DC. Power level in its original form in the manga translates to fighting strength, and how strong their ki is. Nowhere does this correlate to how much they can exert in terms of DC. Roushi in DBs feat was an outlier and usually does not count for the overall strength of the verse, he acxomplished that feat but the Far stronger king piccolo was tired after a city bust, and in goku vs piccld olo in the 23rd budokai didnt even threaten the earth? Also, it should be painfully obvious DC doesnt correlate with PL due to the inconsistencies, piccolo at 300 is small planet level+, but vegeta at 18,000 is planet level+ and frieza at large planet level+? All via feats and powerscaling, because you cant prove and it doesnt correlate to DC, give fears.
