Instant transmission at least you don't actually have to go there and place a seal before you can teleport there and plus instant transmission can take you anywhere in the universe, FTG can only take you places that you've been

tho it's instant transformation goku needs to focus to feel the ki rite ? so in combat i would love to have ftg ( would be the greatest thing ever if minato somehow manages to do it without limitations like seals and shit )

even though he has to focus, minato have to rather throw his kunai or touch the opponet to intantly get to where they are.

Each has an advantage over the other. The only advantage FTG has is that you can teleport to any place as long as you have a seal there. However, I think IT is much handier in battle because it appears you can choose at which point in space to teleport to as long as there is a person close to it like IT Kamehameha.

In regards to speed and usefulness FTG ........... As far as traveling goes.. IT.

FTG. IT requires concentration and you need to be able to sense a life energy there from another creature to teleport there. FTG, while you're limited to going where you've been before, is more versatile.

Edit: Now that I think about, Instant Transmission may be better.

FTG is more versatile, but instant transmission is better overall. Instantaneous movement used by supreme kai solo's them both.
