So a Madara with wood release almost on par with Hashirama isn't kage level? Not sure if serious.

If he has mokuton, he could still win this even if he isn't as skilled as Hashirama when it comes to mokuton. Like Noddy said, stealth tactics would work best and a confrontational approach will probably favour the Gokage since they have more techniques up there sleeve and the hax that is jinton.

He can still absorb jinton now that he doesn't have to activate susanoo on his wood clones. Flower tree world already put them to sleep and if it wasn't for Onoki, they'd have lost right there. If Madara is serious, he can simply finish them off with jukai koutan after FTW.

His wood release is nowhere near Hashirama's.

Hashirama was beating the Kyuubi and Madara with mokuton until Mads used PS on Kyuubi. Madara wasn't able to beat a 50% Kyuubi with his wood release.
